Medical Massage Clinical Treatment
We Provide An Assessment And Targeted Treatment
If you are in pain and looking for relief or if your doctor gave you a recommendation to get a clinical massage we're here to help with your rehabilitation?
Treatment massage starts with a complete evaluation/assessment by your medical massage therapist. From there your massage will focus on a specific outcome. Most of the time you can get a great outcome after 9 sessions lasting 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour.
For your convenience
Your manual therapist will come to your location to complete the assessment and for follow up visits.
Medical Massage is a result oriented treatment. The treatments are specifically directed to resolve conditions that have been diagnosed and prescribed by a physician. Your manual therapist may use a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as....
- Trigger Point
- Cranial Sacral
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage
- Myofacial Release
Your therapist will focus the medical massage treatment only on the areas of the body that is related to the diagnosis and prescription.
*Structural Integration - employs soft tissue manipulation with the goal of realigning the body in relationship to the force of gravity. The theory underlying structural integration asserts that often the body's connective tissue is "bound up," thus restricting opposing muscles from working independently of one another. Thus, we aim to loosen the restricted connective tissue by using a practice very similar to deep tissue massage. Practitioners typically prescribe a specific sequence of ten sessions lasting between 75 and 90 minutes in order to "unlock" the whole body.
Insurance - We are able to work with some insurance companies. Currently we are working with clients who are collecting from worker's comp for an injury on the job.
*Saw this on www.oasismedicalmassage.net and like it. Was going to rewrite it but sounds good the way it is.
